Event at the Faculty of Arts: Who's Afraid of the Green Transition?

The Faculty of Arts, in collaboration with the Circular Change Institute, hosted an enlightening seminar titled "Who's Afraid of the Green Transition?" on Thursday, April 4th, 2024. The event brought together students, professors, and curriculum coordinators for an engaging discussion on sustainable development and its integration into academic programs and daily life.

Mag. Ladeja Godina Košir, founder and director of Circular Change, led the seminar, providing in-depth insights into the myths and realities of the green transition. With her extensive experience, including her role as co-chair of ECESP in Brussels, Košir brought a wealth of knowledge to the participants.

The seminar was enriched by contributions from Meta Pezdir, Project Manager of PSLifestyle at Circular Change, and Lucija Marovt, EcoSchool Coordinator and Strategic Advisor on projects, who shared their expertise on sustainable practices and strategies.

A highlight of the event was the interactive segment where attendees utilized web app PSL to calculate their personal carbon footprint, sparking an discussion on the impact of individual and collective choices on the environment.

The seminar successfully demystified sustainable development concepts, reviewed current European guidelines, and explored practical ways to weave sustainability into study programs and everyday decisions.
