           International Circular Week

7-13th of October 2019

Circular economy, the new concept for attaining sustainable consumption and production, will not be implemented without multisectoral and international cooperation. Our international awareness campaign – Circular Week, has exactly those objectives in mind, to educate and promote this notion on cross country level. For the first time non-governmental organizations from Central  Europe join forces to support the transition towards circular economy.

Working hand in hand INNOWO, Circular Change, INCIEN Czech and INCIEN launch International Circular Week 2019!

This year International Circular Week  will take place between 7-13 October. During the week we want to engage all circular stakeholder to promote this sustainable concept. The project will consist of series of events and initiatives devoted to the subject of circular economy that will take place throughout Europe. The Circular Week’s goal is to endorse the idea of a circular economy, support sustainable business models and establish cooperation between interested stakeholders. Multiple initiative are planned, e.g. international conferences, seminars, workshops, study visits, all connected under one Circular Week umbrella.

You can find the map of events and their description on a dedicated webpage www.circularweek.org.

You can see which city and organization joined Circular Week, and when and where particular events will take place. By searching the events by places or dates everyone can pick the ones they find the most interesting, register through the website and take part in them.

Any entity that would like to be a co-organizer and a partner of Circular Week can submit and organize their own event. INNOWO, as main coordinator of the project, will gather all initiatives, place them on the online map of events as well as in the calendar available to the public and support the promotion of those events.

“Circular Economy is about changing mindsets and perspectives. It's a super complex issue with multiple dimensions, thus the transition must be done in close cooperation with a broad range of stakeholders. Though the process is complicated it is necessary to act if we want to preserve our environment. It is a very smart concept of sustainable production and consumption that doesn’t require sacrifices in comfort of our everyday life and at the same time can bring economic and environmental benefits. Our role as INNOWO is to showcase the real possibilities this transition can yield and to bring all stakeholders together to achieve one common goal – closing the loop.” Agnieszka Sznyk, Polish Circular Hotspot / INNOWO
