Where 174 years of tradition meets the future: Bergen Chamber of Commerce - Annual Conference
The Bergen Chamber of Commerce is a respected institution in the former capital of Norway whose Annual Conference is one of the events of the year, also due to the gala dinner, organized in the same format (with the same menus!) for over a hundred and fifty years!
This year, one of the topics put in focus was the circular economy, which is why Ladeja Godina Košir travelled to the North to deliver a simple message to the participants: become circular to stay on the market. She also highlighted the role of circular economy networks for the exchange of knowledge, as well as for establishing new partnerships so much needed for circular transition. Circular Change and Circular Norway are a great example of a partnership for change, now exploring the options for concrete projects.. As the Chair of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform in Brussels, Ladeja also encouraged the engagement of Norway in the platform’s activities.
The gala dinner was also an opportunity to discuss the future of circular economy solutions with Erna Solberg, the Prime Minister of Norway, a Bergen native and long time supporter of the event.
The conference was another step in CC’s ever stronger collaboration with Norwy and other Nordic countries, proving yet again how much we can learn from each other.
