Circular Change is partnering with UNDP and the Chamber of Economy Montenegro to deliver the first CE Roadmap for Montenegro

After our successful collaboration with Serbian stakeholders, which will result in the publishing of the Serbian national CE roadmap in the coming weeks, we are now sketching out an ambitious plan to make Montenegro a real circular economy pioneer in the region.

Together with our partners UNDP in Montenegro and the Chamber of Economy Montenegro we will soon launch a platform for stakeholder engagement and learning, which will be the first step towards creating a national circular economy Roadmap for Montenegro.

Montenegro has adopted the principles of sustainability into its core strategic documents. Its 2019 Smart Specialization Strategy is build on the pillar of a green and resource efficient economy. Since we started this project, we were impressed by the quality of the reports made by UNDP and Montenegrin NGOs. With excellent analyses and a strong commitment of the Government and key stakeholders, we believe that this partnership will transcend borders and server as a model for the whole region. Moreover, due to the current crisis, we have adapted our plans to make sure that medium and long-term planing for the transition to the circular economy is not separate from the immediate post-corona recovery plans. We sincerely hope to succeed in this action.

We will be publishing more updates on our project in Montenegro soon. Stay tuned!
