Sustainable Fashion Insights: Launch of the 'Ljubljana Circular Meets' Series
The City of Ljubljana and the Institute for Circular Economy Circular Change have launched the series of events "Ljubljana Circular Meets" (SI: Ljubljanski krožni abonma) with a discussion on sustainable fashion. The founder of Circular Change, Ladeja Godina Košir is the host and moderator of the meetings.
“The more I know, the less I need” - Lea Pisani
The first guest was the renowned expert in personal image consulting, Lea Pisani, who, under the slogan "the more I know, the less I need," shared her extensive experience in sustainable fashion and provided advice on clothing management that participants can immediately incorporate into their daily lives.
"Style and neatness can certainly go hand in hand with sustainability. Whether the clothing is new or second-hand, from fast fashion brands or luxury labels, the key is to wear each piece until it is completely worn out," explained Lea Pisani.
She also highlighted that the average Slovenian woman has 70% of her wardrobe that she doesn't wear and that consumers, on average, wear a piece of clothing less than six times.
Next time, we are meeting on June 19, when we will talk about the role of food in the ciruclar economy with Martin Rojnik.
