ECESP Breakfast meeting: Tomorrow's ECONOMY will be… CIRCULAR!

  • European Parliament Brussels Belgium (map)

Join us for an inspiring breakfast meeting with key stakeholders for a circular economy future

European Parliament, ASP A5E1, 29 January 2020, 8-9.30am

Truly closing the loop in Circular Economy requires unambiguous alignment between policy and practice. This is why the European Economic and Social Committee and the European Commission have joined forces to set up the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP). Through the Platform, we facilitate the exchange of good practices, increase knowledge and foster dialogue in circular economy. Reflecting circular issues from the ground, the Platform is a useful point of reference for citizens in MEP constituencies.
With a Coordination Group of 24 members acting as ambassadors for the Circular Economy, the Platform has been able to draw on their experience for the past two years. This meeting is also an opportunity for Members of the Coordination Group to share their views and practical experience with MEPs seeking to address their constituents' concerns and ideas for a just transition to a circular economy.

MEPs Franc Bogovič, Bas Eickhout and Simona Bonafè will host this meeting and they will outline the role of the European Parliament in bringing forward Circular Economy within the next legislative period.
This high-level event will bring together MEPs and Circular Economy stakeholders. As places are limited, register here by 14 January 2020 at the latest.
