At the EU-Western Balkans Summit in November 2020 and subsequent Brdo pri Kranju Summit in October 2021, Western Balkans leaders endorsed the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans (GAWB) and its Action Plan. This framework aims to transition the region to a sustainable economy in line with the European Green Deal's goals.
The Regional Western Balkans Coordination Meeting brings together stakeholders to implement the GAWB Action Plan, focusing on areas like green financing and the Circular Economy (CE). Scaling up CE efforts will help achieve climate neutrality by 2050 and boost economic competitiveness while ensuring sustainability.

Formalize cooperation among stakeholders through a Regional Green and Circular Economy Stakeholders Platform.
