A Circular 2019: Our year in numbers feat. a special December newsletter!
Dear Circular Change-makers,
We will remember 2019 as the year when sustainability became an inevitable part of our lives. Both at home and at work. There is no government, company or organisation that can ignore the need to make our society and economy more sustainable. Unfortunately, still too little has been done to create systemic change, and the environmental crisis is worsening. But at the same time, we experience positive change. In 2019 we have been collaborating with dedicated and inspiring people and learned about projects, programs, companies and initiatives that contribute to the circular transition.
For Circular Change, 2019 was another year full of new and often unforeseen experiences. It is fulfilling to see where we have been contributing to the positive change and how many amazing people we meet on the way. In 2019 we have:
lectured, presented and delivered a key-note at more than 50 events in 15 different countries, from Japan to the USA
been engaged in 10 different circular economy projects at home and abroad
participated in 4 international juries addressing circular economy
contributed to 4 international expert reports, opinions and studies
promoted international collaboration between the EU and Japan, Latin America, Western Balkans, and the USA
...and much more. Download out special December newsletter to read more about selected project and achievements that stand out as highlights of a busy year 2019.
2020 is likely to be an important year - the European Green Deal will depend on the circular economy to deliver in scale and depth. No one has all the answers and no one can do everything by themselves. But we do have each other. We wish to see even more collaboration, constructive dialogue, and innovation in 2020. At Circular Change we are calling on our friends and partners to double our efforts and make 2020 a landmark year for humanity.
But before we step into a new decade, we wish you mindful and relaxing holidays, and a happy circular New Year!
Yours sincerely,
Circular Change Team
