Roadmaps towards the Circular Economy: The Case of Slovenia - Article written by CC published in the 2019 Monograph of the DOBA Business School
Our long-timer partner university the DOBA Business School has published a monograph titled “Sustainable Business in a Modern Society”.
Among the articles featured is a deep look into the process of creating the Roadmap Towards the Circular Economy in Slovenia, written by Ladeja Godina Košir, Niko Korpar and Estera Lah Poljak, the latter of who also work as lecturers at the school.
The article tries to distill the lessons learned about the need for cooperation between different societal spheres: business, policymaking and society. It argues that the Roadmap Towards the Circular Economy in Slovenia, created by Circular Change and a consortium of partners including dr. Janez Potočnik puts a strong emphasis on connecting the bottom-up level (via consultations, inclusion of civil society in the process) and top-down decision-making (strategies, legislation, leadership).
