III International Circular Economy meeting - Time to make the shift from planning to action

 

The third edition of the International Circular Economy Meeting focused on the specific actions underway in different fields and locations, the success stories of Gipuzkoa province (Spain) business fabric, and the opportunities that entrepreneurial activity and investment in green companies can generate in the territory. Gipuzkoa province has its sights set on achieving a recycling rate of 70% by 2030 and aims to place the territory at the forefront as a European reference in Circular Economy models.

The three-day event covered the following themes:

  •  2021: Where we are and where we’re going. European strategies and actions

  •  Circular Economy and companies. Applicable models and success stories in Gipuzkoa

  •  Green entrepreneurship. Current models and funding strategies.

Among the numerous speakers, Ladeja G. Košir contributed on post-COVID world, economy and society – the opportunities and challenges we are facing when implementing green recovery and Neu Bauhaus solutions.

The Department of the Environment of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, the European Confederation of Recycling Industries (EuRIC) and the Spanish Federation of Recovery and Recycling (FER) organised the event.
