WIPO EON Agrofood Webinar: Boosting the impact of the circular economy through IP
On October 7, 2022, Ladeja Godina Košir was a moderator of the Boosting the impact of the circular economy through IP webinar, organized by the WIPO Entrepreneurs Online Network.
The WIPO Entrepreneurs Online Network (EON) is a project aimed to engage targeted SMEs and to deliver tailored business and intellectual property (IP) content in an easily digestible manner. It also aims to build a connected online community of SMEs that enables them to continuously learn from exchanging experiences and to make use of resources/tools related IP helping their business development and growth.
The webinar series around the agrotech and foodtech industries features a segment that connects the industry trends to IP as well as programs, tools and resources available from WIPO. The Webinars are held every Friday starting from October 7, 2022 for five consecutive weeks. Topics to be covered in the five-week webinar series:
Week 1 (October 7, 2022): Boosting the impact of the circular economy through IP
Week 2 (October 14, 2022): Leveraging IP in plant-based foods and meat alternatives for expanding business opportunities
Week 3 (October 21, 2022): Technologies and innovative solutions for traceability systems: Enhancing business opportunities through IP
Week 4 (October 28, 2022): Food innovation ecosystems: Experiences and case studies of leveraging innovation and IP in food research and development
Week 5 (November 4, 2022): Growing markets and business opportunities in using biomaterials and sustainable packaging: Experiences and case studies of leveraging innovation and IP
Ladeja Godina Košir was a moderator of the first part of the Week 1 session. Together with the panelists, they discussed the industry perspective and share their experience with innovative solutions and tools used in the circular economy; successful examples of leveraging IP in the circular economy; and opportunities for collaboration in developing and using smart, innovative, and sustainable solutions responsive to market needs.
At the second session, on October 14, the panel also consisted of a Slovenian representative. Vladimir Mičković, co-founder and CBO at Juicy Marbles, offered his point of view on the topic of Leveraging IP in plant-based foods and meat alternatives for expanding business opportunities.
