European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform coordination group reunited in Brussels
On October 18, after more than 2 years, the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform coordination group met in person in Brussels.
At the meeting, the mandate of CG members and co-chairs Ladeja Godina Košir (Circular Change) and Freek van Eijk (Holland Circular Hotspot) was prolonged.
Additionally, the working title "From startup to scale up" was created for the members’ joined ambition to reshape the "network of networks" in an even more impactful and internationally recognized entity - united frontrunners of the circular economy. The members are "the doers" working on the ground, shaping economies & societies based on true collaboration and engagement of a variety of stakeholders.
What is the Coordination Group?
Composed of a broad spectrum of organizations with a pan-European reach, the Coordination Group enables and implements change through its workplan of activities, showing concretely how synergies can accelerate the transition.
The Group brings together 24 members selected from civil society organisations, business and trade union representatives, think-tanks, research centres and public bodies that have a stake in the circular economy.
The CG members also form Leadership Groups, where they agree on a list of topics to discuss with sectoral stakeholders during the year.
These discussions materialise through the #EUCircularTalks; the new exchange concept of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform.
Their role is to:
Act as the Ambassadors of the Platform and the Circular Economy transformation
Actively promote interaction in the Platform between stakeholders
Promote and facilitate the exchange and mapping of Good Practices
Foster European debate among all relevant circular economy-related stakeholders
We are looking forward to further collaborating within this network of circular economy front runners!
