49th Textile Symposium Explores Sustainability and Circular Economy at University of Ljubljana

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, the 49th Symposium on Innovations in Textiles with the theme "Sustainability and Circular Economy in Textiles" took place at the Department of Textiles, Graphics, and Design (OTGO) of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana. The event was organized by the Department of Textile and Clothing Engineering at OTGO and the Industrial Development Center of the Slovenian Spinning Industry – IRSPIN.

The symposium featured two keynote lectures, eleven presentations, and twenty-four contributions to the poster section. During the keynote lectures, Mag. Ladeja Godina Košir and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mitja Mori provided participants with a broader insight into the circular economy and presented the evaluation of the environmental impacts of processes, technologies, and products.

The event also included two exhibitions showcasing innovative works by students. Over 100 experts from Slovenian textile companies, as well as educators and students from various educational institutions, participated in the symposium.
