A1: Strategy design with multistakeholder workshop
In March 2023, A1 invited a diverse group of their stakeholders from multiple countries to the workshop in Vienna. The key takeaways will serve as an input for their new A1 strategy - Empowering Digital Life.
Slovenia had multiple representatives at the event. Our executive director Ladeja Godina Košir travelled in the company of Ana Struna Bregar, CEO of CER - Sustainable Business Network, Nina Jakovljević, CEO of DROM agency, and of team of A1 Slovenia.
This are six main ideas from the workshop
Ladeja shared some key takeaways with us. Here they are:
1. Education is crucial on all levels. Digital and circular literacy are equally important.
2. Systemic approach is needed when addressing complex challenges. For example, we can not solve problems just by replacing existing cars with electric cars, mobility as a whole should be addressed.
3. Less consumption (of energy and other resources) is the first step towards positive change. Shift from products to services offers a lot of opportunities for savings.
4. More collaboration is needed within the whole value chain to jointly explore potential for more effective and sustainable solutions.
5. Sponsorships and events shall be based on the "ESG criteria".
6. We need to walk the talk. Change starts internally and employees are the first ambassadors of value system of the company.
The event ended with a provocative but necessary question: “How to make our work more fun?” The world of circular economy, ESG, and green transformation can easily become very complex and stressful, which is why we are keeping this quote close by - for our next brainstorming session. :)
