Title: Ljubljana Circular City 2045 - Circular potentials of Ljubljana 2021 - 2027. Strategic document co-creation

The aim of the project was to support Ljubljana on its path of circular transformation by involving the widest range of stakeholders, mapping the existing practices, innovation potentials and concrete initiatives. More than 100 different stakeholders were invited to the preparation process in the form of participation in workshops, interviews, or written initiatives, contributed their proposals and co-created the proposed emerging value chains.
The outcome was threefold:
Umbrella vision of the city until 2045 (in progress) - harmonization of all umbrella documents of the City of Ljubljana in order to achieve the best possible synergies and efficient operation
Strategic guidelines taking into account the principles of the circular economy - connection with the Code for Sustainable and Circular Operations of the City Administration of the City of Ljubljana
Concrete activities for the period up to 2027 and guidelines for monitoring their implementation - an open process that enables the involvement of various stakeholders in the creation of closed loops for selected areas of action.
In collaboration with The City of Ljubljana (MOL), the role of Circular Change was in providing the expertise on circular economy, multistakeholder engagement, organization of workshops, copywriting, and redaction of document, guidelines and recommendations.
