The 4th Norwegian Circular Economy Conference
Last week was a very active week for Circular Change! Not only our own conference took place, moreover, our founder and CEO - Ladeja Godina Košir was also among speakers at the 4th Norwegian Circular Economy Conference!
Along with speakers Walter R. Stahel, Marek Harsdorff, Kari Herlevi, a great discussion took place with Sveinung Rotevatn, Caroline Persson Hager, Susie Jahren, Kim Noguera Gabrielli, Jacob Mehus!
Norway has recently introduced several reports, including the Circularity Gap Report in collaboration with Circle Economy, showing that Norway can become 45.8% circular by restructuring business and industry. Concrete actions proposed in the field of taxation, waste management, knowledge exchange and digitalisation.
Key takeaways:
A holistic framework is needed for solving existing problems
The Circularity Gap Report by Circle Economy and other reports by Deloitte Norway are offering a framework for concrete work on the ground, focusing on priority sectors where the circular economy has the most potential.
Collaboration with other countries is welcome - exchange of knowledge, business match-making
Research and innovation shall be supported and financed, collaboration with clusters to be encouraged
Climate crisis, Corona crisis, SDGs, Green Deal and Resource Management shall be addressed simultaneously.

A lot of exchange between Circular Change and Norway has already been done in previous years, with Cathrine Barth as a great ambassador of circular economy and organizations like SINTEF, Circular Norway, Nordic Innovation, Bergen Næringsråd and Natural state by Einar Kleppe Holthe. Transparency, innovative culture and sense for collaboration are embedded in the Norwegian mindset and the way of making things happen.
Circular Change is looking forward to further collaboration!
