Circular Change Team Brings the Circular Economy to Life at the International Summer School!
The Circular Change team successfully concluded our participation as guest lecturers at the International Summer School hosted by the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics. Following the success of our collaboration last year, we were honored to embark on our second year of contributing to this innovative programme.
Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: Sharing Knowledge at the Summer School
As part of the Circular Change team, we were excited to welcome 40 talented students from various European countries to join us on a transformative journey into the world of the circular economy. Together, we explored the practical implementation of systemic thinking, fostering a deeper understanding of sustainable business practices and circular economic principles. This experience empowered the next generation of leaders who will champion sustainability and drive positive change worldwide.
From Theory to Practice: Unleashing the Potential of the Circular Economy
One of the highlights of this year's summer school was the module on circular economy, moderated by our team. This theoretical foundation equipped students with essential knowledge to actively engage in practical work during summer school. Witnessing the transformation of theory into actionable solutions was immensely gratifying, knowing that these young minds are poised to become innovators and change-makers in the field of the circular economy.
Fostering Innovation: Impactful Program Highlights
The summer school provided a dynamic program designed to spark creativity and foster innovation among students. Engaging in workshops on systems thinking, circular business models, and circular product design provided invaluable insights for real-world applications. Additionally, study visits of pioneering organizations like Aquafil and KNOF's Circular Lab in Krško offered students firsthand exposure to sustainable practices and inspired them to think beyond traditional boundaries.
Shaping a Sustainable Future: Tackling Real Business Challenges
We were eagerly looking forward to the presentation of business challenges, where students proposed innovative solutions to real-life scenarios. This practical exercise encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving skills, demonstrating the potential for the circular economy to drive tangible positive impact across industries.
As Circular Change, we were honored to be part of this transformative learning experience, and we are looking forward to seeing young minds flourish in the (circular) future!
