Empowering Sustainable Innovation: Ladeja Godina Kosir was a member of a jury at 'Mediana – Rising Future 2023' competition

 

We're happy to share the success story of the "Mediana – Rising Future 2023" project, the largest sustainable endeavor in the realm of marketing research in Slovenia. Hosted by Mediana, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between enthusiastic young minds in marketing research and forward-thinking partner companies with a sustainability focus.

At its core, the project sought to bridge the gap between the fervor of young minds in marketing research and the progressive vision of partner companies with a strong sustainability focus. The aim was to nurture young talents while challenging them to craft innovative solutions to real-world sustainability challenges faced by these companies.

The project unfolded in several pivotal stages:

  • Partner Companies Present Sustainability Challenges: Partner companies, committed to sustainability, presented their most pressing challenges to the participants. These challenges served as the bedrock for budding researchers' creative endeavors.

  • Young Researchers Proposed their Ideas: Enterprising young researchers crafted research plans to address the challenges. Their innovation and dedication infused the project with fresh perspectives and unique methodologies.

  • Expert Jury Evaluation : An expert jury that evaluated the plans was chaired by Prof. Dr. Barbara Cater from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics. Other jury members were also our very own founder and director Ladeja Godina Košir and Bart Stegeman from Climate-KIC Hub Slovenia. The winning research plan belonged to Špela Rot, a psychology student from the University of Ljubljana's Faculty of Philosophy. Her research plan, developed in partnership with Športna loterija, demonstrated a profound understanding of intertwining sustainability and business acumen.

  • A Path to Implementation: As the crowned winner, Špela Rot's research plan is now poised for implementation. With the unwavering support of the Mediana Institute's expert team and investment, her visionary concepts will soon transform into tangible realities.

Maša Muster, the driving force behind the project, encapsulated its significance, stating, "Mediana – Rising Future sets an example for companies, emphasizing that sustainability should be more than just a concept on paper."
