Reflecting on a Pivotal Year: Circular Change Honorary Council Meeting
As Circular Change concludes a rigorous and impactful year 2023, our distinguished honorary council members—Janez Potocnik, Jacqueline Cramer, Karin Huber-Heim, Guido Braam, and Patrick Schröder—played a crucial role in steering our journey through challenges and triumphs.
In a week of intense reflection in December 2023, we celebrated achievements and set the stage for an already bustling 2024. This are our key highlights:
Circular Diplomacy on a Global Scale
Following active participation in over 50 international events in 2023, Circular Change is gearing up for a year of continued collaboration. From engagements with Chatham House to partnerships with Exchange 4 Change Brasil, Fundación Eurochile, Nordic Circular Hotspot, WCEF, and more—our commitment to global circular initiatives remains unwavering. We proudly co-chair European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform on the EU level and play pivotal roles in Circular Economy Forum Austria and in the green transition of the Western Balkans.
Advancements in Circular Economy Consultancy
Our dedication to systemic green transformation is evident through strengthened partnerships in the Netherlands with Route Circulair. A planned visit in March 2024 and ongoing projects like CARE4CLIMATE and Boost4bioeast showcase our commitment to driving positive change.
Education as a Catalyst for Change
The momentum in education is palpable, with EUTOPIA, the University of Ljubljana's School of Economics and Business, and the ISPIM conference fueling collaborative initiatives. The development of network governance and the role of transition brokers, initiated by Jacqueline Cramer, sees partnerships with esteemed institutions like the University of Exeter and HMKW University.
Communication as a Cornerstone of Collaboration
As advocates of true collaboration, Circular Change proudly partners with PSLifestyle Project, preparing for new editions of our Circular Insider publication in 2024. Keynotes on international stages and the power of communication will be at the forefront of our endeavors.
In conclusion, Circular Change extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who share our vision. The strategic meeting with honorary council members has been instrumental in shaping our trajectory. As we embark on a new chapter, let's collectively illuminate the path towards a sustainable future.
