Circular Change & PSL at the 4th President’s Forum: Systemic Change and Personal Action for a Sustainable Future
At the 4th President’s Forum on the Right to a Healthy Environment, held under the patronage of the President of Slovenia, Circular Change played an active role in advocating for systemic solutions to address the climate crisis.
Our founder, Ladeja Godina Košir, contributed to the discussion by emphasizing that climate action must be systemic, inclusive, and rooted in human rights. She highlighted the urgent need for cross-sectoral collaboration to transform the way we produce, consume, and govern resources. The forum underscored that climate justice is social justice, and achieving a fair transition requires balancing environmental goals with economic and social well-being.
A key focus of the discussion was empowering individuals to take concrete climate action. Circular Change presented PSLifestyle, an interactive tool that helps people measure and reduce their personal carbon footprint. By providing accessible, data-driven insights, PSLifestyle encourages citizens to make informed choices for a more sustainable lifestyle.
The importance of this tool was further highlighted in a video statement by the President of Slovenia, who personally endorsed PSLifestyle as a practical way to engage citizens in climate action.
The recommendations from the forum further reinforce this systemic approach, calling for:
A strategic shift towards sustainable policies that integrate environmental, economic, and social considerations
More inclusive governance, ensuring diverse voices, including women and vulnerable communities, are part of decision-making
Immediate action to align national policies with international climate commitments.
