We are happy and honoured to announce that Director and Founder of Circular Change, Ladeja Godina Košir, is one of the 6 Finalists in the Leadership category for the 2018 The Circulars Award, organized by the World Economic Forum, Forum of Young Global Leaders in collaboration with Accenture Strategy. The winner will be announced at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos, in January 2018.

The title of Finalist is a recognition of Ladeja’s contribution to the development of the circular economy in Slovenia as well as in the Central and Eastern European region. Under her leadership, Circular Change became one of the most established and well-known European circular economy platforms, engaging more than 3.000 stakeholders. The success is proved by the growing number of partners and international collaborations – including membership in the coordination committee of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform.  Two successful international Circular Change Conferences (2016 and 2017) have gathered more than 700 attendees and over 50 international speakers. In the role of speaker or moderator, Ladeja co-created over 100 circular events in different countries. Circular Change is also strongly engaged in the preparation of the national document – Circular Economy Roadmap of Slovenia.

Ladeja finds herself in the company of such inspiring circular economy champions, as Frans van Houten, CEO of Royal Philips and Lisa Jennings, VP of Head & Shoulders

This marks the third time a Slovenian candidate was recognized on the global stage: dr. Janez Potočnik won the Leadership Award in 2016 and Valtex was “Highly Recommended” in the Public Sector category in 2017.
